Muhammadu Buhari attend the Lomé summit

President Faure Gnassingbe makes Thursday a state visit to Nigeria, the first since the election Muhammadu Buhari in March.

Three themes were discussed during the exchanges, the bilateral cooperation between two member countries of ECOWAS, the fight against Boko Haram and the issue of maritime piracy.

This is the theme for the next international conference in Lomé in cooperation with the African Union (4-7 November 2015)

The Head of State of Togo formally invited his Nigerian counterpart who accepted. It will therefore be present in the Togolese capital alongside other African heads of state.

The Togolese delegation accompanying Faure Gnassingbe includes Foreign Minister, Robert Dussey, the Minister of Security, Yark Damehane and the Minister for Development Planning, Kossi Assimaidou.
