NSS, BANK OFFICIALS IN OVER GHȻ650, 000 FRAUD

After going undercover for nearly a year at Jacobo, capital of Amansie Central District in the Ashanti Region, a group of investigative journalists in Kumasi has uncovered a well instituted corruption chain at the district secretariat of the National Service, with officials conniving with a rural bank to defraud the state.

An official Statement of Account from the Amansie Central branch of the Odotobiri Rural bank Limited clearly shows how the district NSS boss, Zachariah Ibrahim, and his counterpart, Phyllis Adjei Tuffour, the branch manageress of the bank, and other staff had conspired to siphon an amount of over GHȻ650, 200 supposedly meant for service personnel.
