Two suicide bombings have left some civilians and a policeman dead in Niger.
Sources based in the southeastern city of Diffa where the blasts occurred say there were 10 deaths in all.
They comprise a policeman, five civilians and the four suicide bombers.
The assailants, all armed with explosive belts, were believed to be going after military targets but were unable to hit any.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility though suspicion fell on Boko Haram, the Nigeria-based armed group that has carried out scores of attacks in neighboring Niger, Cameroon and Chad in recent months.
