The three surgical clinics shut down last month by the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital will be reopened on Monday, March 21, management says.
The clinics – Urology, Neurosurgery and General Surgery – were shut down on Monday, February 8 for works to be completed on theaters and recovery wards at the Department of Surgery.
Though emergency cases were catered for, most cases were referred to near-by health facilities.
A statement released on Friday, March 18 acknowledged the cooperation and support of patients, the public, the Ministry of Health and sister hospitals within the metropolis in the one-and-a-half period the clinics were closed down.
