Sierra Leone village in quarantine after Ebola death

People wait to be released from Ebola quarantine in the village of Massessehbeh on the outskirts of Freetown, Sierra Leone on Aug. 14, 2015,

Former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie also known as Sir John has asked President John Dramani Mahama to start behaving like a living goat if he really wants to win the 2016 elections.
According to him, Ghanaians are fed up with his 'dead goat' style of leadership and will show him the exit if he does not change his ways.
President Mahama during a three-day official visit to Botswana early this year told Ghanaians resident there that he has a “dead goat syndrome” so he is not perturbed about the threat of strikes and series of demonstrations from the public.
Last month, in an interview on an Accra based radio station the president backtracked and said he had now changed to a ‘living goat’
“I am a living goat not a dead goat”, he said jokingly after the backlash from his ‘dead goat syndrome’ comments.
But speaking on Adom FM’s morning show ‘Dwaso Nsem’ Friday, Sir John said “no wonder the president likened himself to a “goat” because he is an incompetent leader who has no clue in governance”.
He could not fathom why John Dramani Mahama would even go to pick forms to contest in the NDC's presidential primaries when according to him, he has led the country into its present difficulties.
“Why should Mahama even go for forms after mismanaging Ghana” he quizzed.
Sir John reiterated the NPP’s readiness to redeem Ghanaians from the shackles of poverty if they are voted into power.

Nearly 1,000 people in Sierra Leone have been put under quarantine following the death of a 67-year-old woman who tested positive for Ebola.

It comes five days into a six-week countdown for the country to be officially declared Ebola-free.

The quarantine will last for three weeks, provided no new cases are recorded.

More than 11,000 people have died since the start of the Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia.
