The Committee investigating allegations of bribery against some court staff implicated in the latest bribery scandal by Ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has resumed sitting.

The Committee today met with one of the affected clerks and the Tiger Eye PI team.

Although details are sketchy, Radio Ghana has gathered that counsel for the affected Judicial Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG) members, Egbert Faibille, walked out of the meeting because the committee declined to a request to unmask the petitioner.

According to our source at the court, Mr Faibille told the committee to dismiss the other two members of the Tiger Eye PI team in order to deal with Anas and for him to unmask.

The Committee chaired by Aboagye Tandoh declined noting that, Tiger Eye PI petitioned as a team. It noted also that, the petitioner is enjoined by law to be protected under the Whistle Bowers Act.

The source indicated that Mr Faibille is heading to the high court to file an application to compel Anas to unmask before the Committee.

A separate committee probing allegations of bribery against the seven suspended high court judges will be meeting the affected judges individually week after week. Justice John Adjet Nassam is said to be the first to appear but has not appeared yet.

The committee has given the high court judge up to tomorrow to appear but will go on with its work with or without his presence.
